Red Letter Days

A Red Letter Day is any day of special significance or opportunity.

Its roots are in classical antiquity. Throughout its history, 

WCTU calendars have had days of special significance printed in red.

September: 

 

9th    Fetal Alcohol Syndrom Disorder Day

28th  Frances E. Willard's birthday 

October:

25th - 31st  White Ribbon Against Pornography (WRAP) Week (4th Week)

November: 

1st  National WCTU year 2020-2021 begins

8th - 14th  YTC Week (2nd Week)

26th  Great American Smoke-Out (3rd Thursday)

December:

24th  146th Anniversary of Woman's Crusades

25th  Christmas Day

January 2021:

16th  Religious Freedom Day (usually celebrated Sunday prior to 16th)

17th  Sanctity of Human Life (celebrated each year on the Sunday closest to the anniversary of Roe v. Wade)

February:

17th  Anniversary of Frances E. Willard's death

March:

Woman's History Month

April:

4th  Easter Sunday

18th - 24th Youth Temperance Education Week (last full week of April)

May:

6th National Day of Prayer ( 1st Thursday of May)

9th - 15th Christian Family Week (2nd full week)

June:

9th Jennie Casseday Day
