All alcoholic beverages contain about the same amount of ethyl alcohol per serving.
Beer, wine, wine coolers, and whiskey each contain about 0.6
ounces of alcohol by volumne which is equivalent to 12 ounces of beer, 7 ounces of wine, 6 ounces of wine cooler, or 1 1/2 ounces of distilled spirits (whiskey). This is the normal serving amount. (Ice beers contain a much higher alcohol-content than regular beer.)
